This is the first book I ever read from Danielle Steel. I never really paid attention to her work before but it was laying in the apartment we rented and was bored and so I pick the book and flip the page and from the first page I actually got hook. I like how it easy it is to read. I like how the author referred to some people as a gift but the adult characters annoyed me a bit, especially to the parents of the family who started falling apart. It almost feels immature that they need another "gift" to be able to restore their relationship back to the way it was.
