I love this story! The book really teach kids that there comes a lot of time when you have to use your common sense. I've read this story in a text book when I was a kid. And while I was reading it I also keep wondering how I would be doing if I was that little bird, just to be able to drink that water at the bottom of the glass.

I would have given this story a 5 stars but because of the same reason as K.D mention (view spoiler)[it's really stupid that the writer/illustrator made him carry the stones to fill the glass using his wing and not the feet, I his using it to fly (hide spoiler)] I give it a four star.
