Secretly Married
Summary:
Phoebe has known Kent since he was a gangly nobody, and she doesn't even know how they feel about each other. But just when she's trying to sort out her feelings for the moody and unpredictable Kent, she meets Harley. Kent's equally gorgeous rival, who's determined to sweep her off her feet. Oh, what's secretly married girl to do when her life's suddenly put into the spotlight?
Review:
I like all the characters in this book but Phoebe, the heroine, was my least favorite. I sympathize with her and the hardship she went through especially near the end. I also admire how she readily forgave Elisa before the big accident, but she just make me so frustrated at times. I mean she and Kent really need to learn to trust each other, but I feel like they never really develop that all the way to the end. I wish they did early in the story, then maybe I might have been able to read more of Harley's story. I'm serious Harley need his own story!
Anyway, even this story was great and all, the one reason why I won't be placing this to my top favorites is Phoebe's illogical action at the beginning of the story. The part where she drop her stuff. I don't why would she be carrying her passport and marriage contract to school! She said that she kept forgetting it but why bring it at all in the first place? Especially if it's supposed to be confidential information. Unless, of course, if she actually wanted someone to "accidentally" find it, which actually happened.(Ah, so stupid) That part actually almost made me stop reading the book- I'm just glad I persisted, after all, that aside it's still a good book.
